Chinese Traditional Braised Tofu Recipe
Summer is coming, and getting in front of the stove is not always pleasant. This method of cooking the tofu will change your view of the tofu, because usually it's pretty hard to grab the tofu without a spoon, well, after you boil it, the tofu will be more solid like a solid pudding. This recipe is very simple and super traditional, and it's very tasty even when it's just pulled out of the fridge, perfect for the hot days.
Wash the scallions and cut it
Cut the tofu in small blocks
Boil some water in a pot first, add salt, soak the tofu for 30/45 seconds max, then pull out the blocks
Put some oil in a pan and pour in the tofu
Add soy sauce, add salt, a little sugar, cooking wine, chili oil (according to your own taste), stir well
Pour the seasoning in the tofu
Slowly stir fry with a small fire for 2 minutes
Adjust with some water and starch
Turn off the fire and sprinkle the scallions, in 3 minutes here's your braised tofu!
