​Chinese chicken soups are generally super healthy, some ingredients are not very used in other part of the world, but they are very common in china for healthy-food purposes, like the yam or the shiitake mushroom.

The preparation time is a bit off because the shiitake mushrooms need to be soaked in water because they are generally sold dried, the chicken must be already ​simmered.

We will recommend to use a casserole for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Half chicken
  • 3 yams
  • 200g Shiitake mushrooms
  • 10 red dates
  • 1 small ginger
  • 2 tbsp of salt

Instructions

Put the already prepared chicken and mushrooms in a casserole, add enough water, when water starts to boil, lower the fire and simmer for 2 hours

The yam need to be peeled and washed

Add the red dates and the yam and continue to simmer for half an hour

Add the right amount of salt
