Chinese Fried Pumpkin Cake Recipe

We love to eat fried pumpkin pie, we usually eat them as a dessert in some Asian buffets restaurants. It's not extremely healthy because it's deep fried, but the ingredients is very essential, so you can try once at home this recipe. In this pumpkin cake recipe we will use sweet bean paste as filling. The dough itself is already sweet but not extremely sweet so we had to add some filling. Sweet, chewy, crispy and delicious, good for breakfasts and Asian style tea breaks.

Ingredients

  • 500g Glutinous rice flour
  • 150g Sweet bean paste
  • 150ml Water

Instructions

Knead the dough until the surface is smooth then wrap it into a bowl for 30 minutes

Divide into equal parts, and press the dough to sheets

Put some bean paste in to the center of the sheet, and wrap it up

Close it gently, and put it face down

Roll gently with a rolling pin

Once all the dough's are prepared, heat some oil and start fry

Once is gold take out

Super delicious warm or cold!
